Raised up in a family of educators in Sialkot, a small city in Pakistan, I learned the true power of education: bringing meaningful change in the world. Driven by the mission of helping out the world and its people, I chose computer science for my undergraduate degree and now, in my graduate studies as well. In my undergraduate university, I loved being a part of managing events and community service projects. Afterwards, the Fulbright scholarship came as a life changing blessing and brought me to Rice University, a place I proudly call home. 

What I like about Houston/Rice

I love Rice’s architecture surrounded by greenery. I also love the kind and hospitable nature of the people in Houston and the amazing food here!

What I like about Fulbright

It is the ultimate opportunity to not only learn new skills but make friends from all over the world, learn their cultures and contribute meaningfully to the communities in the US and back home
