Overview for Incoming Awardees
Rice University welcomes Fulbright scholars and students from around the world who contribute to the university’s vibrant intellectual and cultural community.
Fulbright awardees may come to Rice in different capacities. Visiting Scholars typically pursue independent research in collaboration with a faculty host and academic department. Fulbright Students may enroll in graduate study or engage in research as part of a degree or non-degree program. Because each award type has distinct requirements, processes for affiliation, admission, and support vary accordingly.
Fulbright@Rice, housed in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, works closely with academic departments, administrative offices, and program partners to support incoming awardees from initial affiliation through arrival and community engagement. This section outlines the pathways, contacts, and resources available to help you plan your affiliation with Rice.
