I joined the graduate program in Anthropology at Rice in the fall of 2020. My research interests include political anthropology, anthropology of law, STS, and the intersection of those. I graduated from the University of Warsaw with a bachelor’s degree in ethnology and a master’s degree in law. Studying ethnology, I participated in the field research in Budjak, Ukraine, and my thesis focused on memory of the pre-Soviet period among the Old Believers living in that region. While pursuing my degree in law, I completed a study program at the Center for American Law Studies, provided free legal advice at the Legal Aid Clinic, served as a co-mediator at the Center for Dispute and Conflict Resolution, and spent a semester as an exchange student at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing. After graduation, I worked as a lawyer in the intellectual property practice of a Warsaw-based law firm, and subsequently, at the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
