Hi, I’m Maximilian, originally from the South of Germany.
My journey began as a Mechatronics Technician, followed by my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Management. This path took me through a role in power electronics at a global tech leader and into advanced algorithm development for industrial automation in Switzerland. Through these experiences, I realized that technical innovation is only half the equation. For energy solutions to truly scale, they must be economically viable and strategically sound.
This understanding drives my decision to join the Master of Energy Economics program at Rice University. I am eager to leverage Rice’s world-class academic environment to translate my engineering background into economic insight, learning how to model markets, assess risks, and shape policies that support a sustainable transition.
Outside of academics, I stay active at the gym, enjoy various sports, and love tinkering with my own small projects.
Beyond that, I'm always up for meeting new people, whether it's a quick chat about energy trends, a casual conversation, or even hitting the gym together. Don't hesitate to say hi if we cross paths!
