I am a Ph.D. student in Engineering in the area of power and energy. My major is in Mechatronics Engineering at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (UMNG) in 2008. During my undergraduate, I made a university exchange at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) in Spain. I received my Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the PUJ in 2012. From 2012 to 2016, I joined at Halliburton Latin-American as Field Professional in the Wireline & Perforating area. My current research interest areas are related with smart grids, microgrids, distributed optimization and control systems. I have been a volunteer IEEE member for 15 years working in student and professional volunteering. I was student branch and chapter chair at UMNG (2008), SAC Team Colombia in (2009), founder chair of IEEE Colombian chapter of Industry Applications Society (2009-2012), founder and secretary of the IEEE Colombian chapter of the Robotics and Automation Society (2010-2012), founder vice-chair of the IEEE Colombian chapter of Control Systems Society (2010-2012). Additionally, I was the founder chair of the Santanderes subsection in the IEEE Colombia Section (2018-2020).

I enjoy having a new family and at the same time an excellent opportunity to grow.

Fun Fact:

I love music. I played trumpet and guitar some time ago.
