Jigo is a geothermal geoscientist in the Philippines. He will be pursuing his Master of Science in Energy Geoscience at Rice University where he intends to expand his scope towards other renewable energy technologies relevant to clean energy transition initiatives in the Philippines. Jigo graduated cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2011 and topped the Geology Licensure Exam in the same year. He entered the geothermal industry as a geochemist and recently became a field development planner for new projects. He also attended the United Nations University – Geothermal Training Program in Iceland in 2015.

Fun fact about Jigo:
He loves to travel by backpacking and has visited 39 countries so far, including North Korea and Iran.
