I was born in Cosamaloapan, Veracruz, where the main economic activity is planting sugar cane. I lived there fifteen years, then moved to Xalapa, Veracruz (capital of the State of Veracruz), where I studied Public High School and University. I have a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico Superior of Xalapa. I am a result of Mexico's public education system.

From a very young age, my father taught me that relationships and friendships are built through trust and mutual respect in order to maintain them over time. Since I was 13, I helped my father in his agricultural machinery repair business, where I had the opportunity to serve small sugarcane farmers. Usually, they struggled with the cost of farming, so we could not add another expense to their machinery repair. I learned with great humility to develop a greater service vocation and personal relationship cultivation. I always listened and tried to understand each of their situations. That job strengthened my sensitivity to find simple, practical, but high-impact solutions.

My first job was in a gas and oil plant owned by the Mexican State Oil Company. In 2011, I began my current job in Mexico's National Commission for Energy Efficiency, known as Conuee. Now, after fourteen years, I am the Energy Efficiency Coordinator of the National Programs in Public Buildings and Services.
