Brandon is a Fulbright- García Robles Scholar. He studied a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy at Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (Center for Economic Research and Teaching) in Mexico. During his undergraduate program he was a semifinalist at the Harvard University Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program, participated in the Hoover Institution at Stanford University Summer Policy Boot Camp, graduating with distinction honors, the Econometrics Game at The University of Chicago and the MIT Policy Hackaton. He spent a year as a research professional (predoctoral research assistant) in the department of Economics and was a lecturer in Development Economics and in Sustainable Development at CIDE before joining the Master of Energy Economics at Rice University.
