I was born and raised in Valle de Chalco, State of Mexico. I am a first-generation college graduate in my family. I hold a master’s degree in Physics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), a public university in Mexico City.
I worked for 5 years as a high school physics teacher, fostering interest in science among young minds through innovative science education, including designing open-access didactic materials for my students and leading the organization of a semiannual Physics Fair. Although I enjoy teaching, my passion for physics and research drives me to pursue greater challenges. With my interdisciplinary research experience, including molecular dynamics simulations and the synthesis and characterization of polymer/magnetic nanoparticles, I am particularly interested in applying physics to nanomedicine.
I had the honor of being selected as a grantee of the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds program, a major step forward in my professional development. As part of my journey, I had the opportunity to participate in the GCURS at Rice in October 2025. Even though my visit lasted a few days, I felt a strong sense of belonging to such a great community. Now, I will join the PhD in Applied Physics at Rice University, where I aim to deepen my expertise in nanomaterials for biomedical applications.
