I was born in Guaranda and raised in Chimbo canton, Bolívar province, Ecuador. Due to my undergraduate studies, in 2012, I moved to Guayaquil. In April 2018, I earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL). Since June 2018, I have worked as a Laboratory Technician in the Geothecnic and Construction Laboratory in the School of Earth Sciences Engineering of the ESPOL. The work environment has allowed me to be part of several initiatives and projects related to education, management, continuous improvement, and earth sciences. These experiences allowed me to know first-hand the importance of management applied to engineering projects. In this way, I understood that I could serve more people using my management skills. I am passionate about the idea of learning more, transferring what I have learned, and being able to serve in my home country. I am part of the Fulbright Foreign student program 2022 cohort of Ecuador, which will allow me to undertake the Master of Engineering Management and Leadership (MEML) at Rice University.
