Dr. Aneela Sultana is a cultural anthropologist and presently teaching as an assistant Professor in Anthropology Department of Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan since 2007. She has been the Project Director of several research projects that were initiated in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and British Council of Pakistan, and particularly dealt with status of Pakistani women, their representation at provincial and national elected forums, socio-cultural and psychological determinants of their reproductive health and rights etc. She is an author of several books and research articles which were published in some of the prestigious journals in Pakistan as well as abroad. Currently, she is working on her postdoctoral research that deals with the lived experiences of women copying with unintended pregnancies: a comparative study between Pakistan and United States as part of her Fulbright Scholars Award 2023-24 at Rice University, Houston.
