In September 2023, Fulbright@Rice was honored by a visit from our colleagues at IIE and Fulbright advisors from Latin America! We were thrilled to welcome Christine Chan, Tiffany Johansen, and Casey Talay of IIE, and Melina Ginszparg, Program Deputy and Educational Adviser for Fulbright Argentina, Melisa Mantilla, Program Officer at Fulbright Ecuador, Yandhi Reynoso, Program Officer at Fulbright Mexico, and Magdalena Sciarra, Program Officer at Fulbright Uruguay.
During their visit, our guests were able to sample some authentic Texas barbecue, meet with graduate students and faculty, and get to know our Rice Fulbrighters.
The highlight of the trip was a visit to NASA Johnson Space Center. Our group of over 30 Fulbrighters took a tram tour to visit the historic sections of the Space Center, and learned more about the future of the space industry.
We look forward to hosting more visitors in 2024!
