My name is Abeera Malik, a Chemical Engineer dedicated to teaching as a lecturer at BUITEMS, Pakistan, since 2016. In this role, I've honed strong teaching skills and developed a deep passion for education.

I grew up in Quetta, a valley embraced by majestic mountains, where I deeply value the cultural diversity that characterizes my hometown. Snowfall in Quetta is a cherished seasonal experience for me. Completing my education there anchored me in the community and its values, influencing my academic journey and nurturing my appreciation for our cultural heritage and the region's natural beauty.

In my leisure time, I find joy in outdoor walks, hiking, and diving into novels, particularly those by Nimra Ahmed. These activities provide a balanced complement to my professional life, keeping me creatively inspired.

On Rice and Houston:

I love Houston for its vibrant cultural scene, from world-class museums to diverse festivals that celebrate the city’s rich heritage. Also Houston’s abundance of green spaces, like Hermann Park and Buffalo Bayou, offers a perfect escape for outdoor enthusiasts. Also, I admire Rice University for its exceptional research resources and facilities, which support cutting-edge innovation across various fields. Additionally, the university's strong sense of community and beautiful campus enhance the overall experience.

On Fulbright:

I appreciate the Fulbright program for its extensive global network and the opportunity it offers through its fully funded scholarship.

Fun Fact:

I love reading novels in my free time, especially those by Nimra Ahmed
