Rice Fulbright Scholars get together regularly throughout the academic year, for brief, informal meetings and social events designed to help us explore Houston! We love going to the Houston Rodeo each year, and have gone to Rockets games, local parks around Houston, and have taken in Rice Campus Art, including our own Turrell Skyspace! Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium
Additionally, a number of Fulbright scholars and Fulbright applicants participate in the Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium, held annually at Rice University. GCURS is one of the longest-running and most prestigious undergraduate research conferences in the southeast United States. Open to students from all universities and hosted by top-ranked Rice University, GCURS provides students around the world the opportunity to present their original research to an audience of their peers.
