Simone is a graduate student in Applied Bioengineering at Rice University. She is interested in Cellular, Molecular, and Genome Engineering as well as Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Simone pursued her Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences in Germany. During that time, she participated in a mentoring program for female STEM students and the Fulbright Summer Institute at Virginia Tech University. In her spare time, Simone enjoys running, road biking, hiking, and cooking.
