I am Ana María Rosas, a Latin American and Colombian woman. I earned a B.A. in Philosophy and a M.A. in Philosophy from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. I have experience working as a lecturer at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a professor at Uniagustiniana. My research areas include Feminist Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Inclusive Education. I am deeply committed to gender equality, social justice, and understanding the role of our bodies and emotions in social life. Additionally, I have a passion for Visual Art and Literature. My PhD in Philosophy at Rice University will help me become a better researcher, writer, social and educational leader.

What I like about Rice/Houston:

From the moment I was accepted to Rice University, I felt incredibly welcomed. Every member of the community has been exceptionally kind, showing genuine interest in my journey. Rice is a very inclusive and diverse community, committed to our quality life and success. I can't wait to experience campus life! As for Houston, I'm excited about the prospect of living in the fourth-largest city in the United States!

What I like about Fulbright:

I appreciate the sense of belonging to a supportive community. The Fulbright program has been important in guiding me through my PhD journey, offering invaluable support and resources. The opportunity to connect with talented people from my own country and across the globe has enriched me, making me better person and a more engaged global citizen.

I'm a philosopher who also loves practicing step and aerobics!
