I was born in El Cerrito Valle, Colombia but I have lived in many different cities of the Colombian southwest. I’m in Physics Engineering with a Master's in Engineering from the Universidad del Cauca. During my university years, I had the opportunity to perform research internships at different institutions such as the Weizmann Institute of Sciences in Israel, the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, and the Optical Research Center of La Plata in Argentina. I have been working in academia and industry for 10 years with the aim of using the sciences and technology to create innovative solutions for different challenges in fields like bioengineering, healthcare, and energy. Currently, I’m starting my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering at Rice University.

Fun Fact:

I have tried everything to learn to play musical instruments or to be able to sing better, but I can't do it. Although I love music, I am very bad at music. So sad!
