I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and completed my International Baccalaureate at Mara College Banting. With a passion for both natural and social sciences, I then pursued and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double degree - BSc in Geosciences and BA in Economics at the University of Arizona.

After graduating, I embarked on a rewarding career in the oil and gas industry, working for PETRONAS, a Malaysian National Oil and Gas Company for a span of eight years. During this time, I gained valuable experience and expertise in various aspects of the industry. Currently, I am employed as a senior reservoir geologist in a multidisciplinary field development team. My primary focus lies in subsurface reservoir characterization and 3D reservoir modeling. Through my work, I strive to optimize field development strategies and enhance the overall productivity of oil and gas reservoirs. I am truly passionate about my profession and find great fulfillment in combining my knowledge of geoscience and economics to contribute to the sustainable and efficient development of natural resources.

I plan to pursue a Master of Science in Energy Geoscience Degree at Rice University, Houston with the area of specialization in Geology, Carbon Management, Energy Transition, and Sustainability. Addressing the anthropogenic CO2 emissions as well as ensuring access to reliable and abundant energy sources, are among the most pressing and interconnected challenges. I hope to be able to shed some insights and provide a solution to this dual challenge - to supply the affordable and reliable energy the world needs while reducing environmental impacts.
