Liubove is a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at Rice University. Her primary research is on Human-Robot Interaction, conducted under the supervision professor Vaibhav Unhelkar. Prior to joining Rice, Liubove worked as a software developer at StateOfTheArt.ai, a tech startup, where she developed a centralized repository for trained models of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. She also worked as a Data Scientist in X-Data, and machine learning specialist at Lytica, a Mexican Tech startup. Liubove holds a Bachelor and Master's degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. During that time, she participated at Wolfram Summer School and Google Summer of code, where she developed a Human Activity Recognition pipeline. Outside of the PhD studies, she enjoys art, hence she is trying to learn to paint in watercolor. Also, she does mountain biking and loves skiing.

What I like about Rice is: 

Rice is an amazing university with a tight community. Everyone is supporting and is eager to help. Also, Rice has lots of opportunities for career growth.

The lunches, and the interesting, deep conversations with the Fulbrighters!
