I was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, where I studied my B.S. in Industrial Mechanical Engineering at Universidad de la República. While studying, I started working in an engineering firm, where I developed professionally. Years later, I started working as a Project Manager in an Uruguayan company that designs process plants and machinery for the food industry, for different countries in Latin America. Even though engineering itself fascinates me utterly, while working as a Project Manager I found a new field where I wanted to delve deeper. Therefore, I will undertake the Master of Engineering Management and Leadership (MEML), starting in fall 2023. I grew up as the youngest of three siblings. At a young age, I learned piano and guitar, and I am simply passionate about music. I am currently taking ballet classes, although throughout my life I have taken different types of dance classes. I am really looking forward to going to Rice and getting to know the Fulbright community!

On Houston & Rice:

Although I have not yet arrived in Houston or Rice, I am excited about the idea of going to such a diverse place, where I can meet people of different ages, cultures, and backgrounds. Besides, I find Rice's architecture absolutely charming!

On Fulbright:

Fulbright has given me the opportunity to meet admirably talented people, from whom I am learning a lot. I believe that the engendered community is the best aspect of the program.

Fun Fact:

I am definitely a cat person!
