I was born and raised in La Paz, Bolivia. I am an engineer, passionate for sustainable technologies, for social entrepreneurship and interdisciplinarity. I have my Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad del Valle, and have also studied Solar Energy and Business Administration. I worked in the private and public sector, in the Bolivan Space Agency, following a one-year scholarship in China where I learnt a lot about spacecraft and multi-disciplinary teams and projects. Afterwards I co-founded a social enterprise that develops energy efficiency, electronic equipment waste management and STEM education projects in Bolivia.

On Rice & Houston:

What I am liking a lot about Rice is that the class size is small, giving plenty of opportunities to engage with professors and to do research. I am looking forward to all the options Rice gives to students!

On Fulbright:

So far, that it gives us the opportunity to be part of a greater community, to attend world-class institutions like Rice and to learn about US culture and customs by being there

Fun Fact:

If I had one word to describe me, it would be Curiosity.
